Collection: Uruguay
Wine has been made in Uruguay for over 250 years but it was the French Basque who brought Tannat vines to the country in the late 1800s. Tannat proved to be a perfect match for the Uruguayan soils and climate and is Uruguay's signature wine. The wineries are small, often family owned and run with a very hands on approach to wine making.
