Araldica is arguably Piemonte's most forward-thinking co-operative, situated in Castel Boglione, in the heartlands of Barbera d'Asti.
Producing wines from Piemonte's main DOC / DOCG regions - predominantly Barbera, Gavi and Moscato, but also including Barolo, Barbaresco and Roero Arneis - they work with 230 grower members to source quality grapes from around 690ha of vineyards.
Regarded as one of the best vineyard areas in the Gavi region, the Tassarolo zone, close to La Battistina estate, provides the cortese grapes for this wonderfully zesty and appealing organic Gavi.
After hand-harvesting, vinification takes place in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, to maintain the freshness and aromas. The wine then spends a short
period of time on lees before being bottled.
Tasting notes: Softly aromatic with zesty citrus, stone fruit and white blossom notes form the perfect introduction to the bright citrus, honeysuckle and mineral notes on the expressive palate. Ripe and textural elements with crisp acidity lead to a clean, zingy finish. Drink with grilled fish, shellfish, or risotto primavera.
