Yet another example of how versatile Verdejo can be. This time the masters of the grape, Bodegas Mocen, have added a semi-dulce or semi-sweet element to their wonderful expressions. We urge you to set aside any preconceived ideas you have of wines that come with a layer of sweetness, this is no Liebfraumilch!
The typical Verdejo characteristics still play a key role, with apple, pear, yellow citrus and hay energising the sweetness. Not sickly or clawing in the slightest, just incredibly moreish.
