Henri Gouges Bourgogne Pinot Blanc 2020

A glorious wine oddity, Burgundy has the stictest of restrictions on what grapes can be grown in the region, barring one or two small exceptions Pinot Noir & Chardonnay are all you will see. However Gouges have the only site in the whole of Burgundy that are permitted to grow Pinot Blanc. It's thought the vines started out life as Pinot Noir but over time mutated into Pinot Blanc. Incredible, fascinating & delicious stuff!

The 14.5 ha Domaine Henri Gouges has excellent holdings in Nuits-Saint-Georges and produces some of the village’s most highly regarded wines. The average age of the vines is an impressive 50 years with some at 90 years old.

Fresh, crisp and buzzing with lemony citrus, a splash of exotic fruit and crunchy apple and pears.
