Bret Brothers Macon-Igé Les Vernayes 2022

Lively and fresh straight from the get go, the fruit is rich and moreish with a featherweight layer of spice. The palate has a lovely nuttiness to it with a broad fruit profile and a very light touch of honey. The acidity is brilliant and swipes through the richness to balance the wine to perfection. This is a really interesting iteration of Chardonnay that provides such an enjoyable tasting experience. Ageing this wine would be an interesting exercise but really this one to open in and joy right now.
