Daniel Etienne Defaix Chablis 1er Cru Les Lys 2013

This is old school Premier Cru Chablis, from what is believed to be the oldest Domaine in the region. Very different in style to what most associate with Chablis, the classic characteristics are all there but they're underpinned with more mature, earthy, nutty and honeyed notes. Not one for the casual Chablis drinker it has to be said, purely because it is so different, but for those looking to experience this wine in a rare form, it's an opportunity not to be missed!
