A fantastic example of St. Julien from this old Bordeaux estate. The wine beautiful, very pretty, with incredible freshness and expressive notes of red berry fruit and aromatic licorice. There's a mature earthiness too, reminding you that this is still very much a serious bottle of claret. Decant for a couple of hours before serving along side roast beef.

Deri Reed-Thomas I decanted it and gave it a good hour to breathe. But in hindsight it probably needed longer. It’s full bourdeax flavours became smoother as time went on.
