Glenmorangie Sherry Wood Finish (Circa. early 2000's)

The original wood finish range from Glenmorangie was discontinued back in 2007, this was before wood finishing was as commonly used as it is today but the Highland distillery were already experimenting with cask influence, and this is a classic, beautifully crafted malt that despite being NAS has actually been aged for 12 years. Still very much in the Glenmoragnie style but there's that added sweet nuttiness in the background, reminding you of the deft touch cask finish.
