Situated high above the Tasman Bay sat on the Moutere Hills in the North West corner of New Zealand's South Island. Heaphy Vineyard is a well established vineyard first planted in 1973 and is amongst some of New Zealand's oldest vineyards.
Produced on unirrigated 30 to 50 year old vines in Moutere Clay soils this wine is a bright combination of red apples and fresh lime with a generous body and elevated aromatics. This wine is harvested in late February and crushed to tank, racked and then settled in fine lees for 8 months prior to bottling.
With a nose of fresh spices such as ginger, jasmine and cardamom it provides a rich palate of lime, red apple and stone fruits with a generous mouthfeel and texture to finish. Perfectly paired with fish taco's with zested lime or chicken wings with a blue cheese sauce.
