Known for the versatility in the range of whisky styles produced, Loch Lomond was founded in 1965. The malts produced at Loch Lomond are rarely bottled as single malts, instead being used for blends, resulting in only the truly exceptional casks being bottled.
The Open Special Edition 2024 is created to celebrate the 152nd Open at Royal Troon in Scotland. This single malt has been crafted with the help of Loch Lomond golf ambassador Colin Montgomerie.
Aged in American Oak casks and finished in first-fill ex-Chardonnay wine casks, creating a profile of honey, blossom, vibrant orchard fruit and toasted oak, perfectly complemented with soft smoke on the finish.
