L'Olivella Frascati Superiore

L'Olivella was established in 1986, born from the vision of Umberto Notarnicola, an experienced viticulturist from Puglia, and Bruno Violo, a meticulous wine expert from Piedmont., who were captivated by the Lazio landscape and its native wines. 

Frascati wine has long been associated with Rome, boasting an extensive historical legacy. The ancient Romans highly valued the wine from Tuscolo, the hill above Frascati that serves as a natural terrace overlooking the capital.

The Frascati vineyards thrive on volcanic hills, rich in mineral salts (potassium, phosphorus, calcium, and magnesium) but low in nitrogen - an ideal composition for cultivating vines and producing wines of exceptional quality.

Tasting notes: An intense and persistent floral and fruity bouquet offering aromas of white blossoms, citrus zest, and subtle almond notes leading to a full bodied and balanced mouthfeel featuring white peach and nutty flavours balanced by a generous acidity and a prolonged aromatic finish.

This delicious Frascati will pair perfectly with fish dishes, white meats and cheeses.
