Chateau de Fleurie Magnum 1.5L

Like all Fleurie wines that are exclusively crafted within the eponymous village. Château de Fleurie sources grapes from various parcels, including the esteemed lieux-dits of Les Rochaux, Point du Jour, La Madone, and Le Bourg—the latter a mere stone's throw from the château itself. These vineyards share a common terroir of sandy soil overlying granite bedrock.

In the village centre stands the elegant 18th-century château, now in the hands of Jean Loron's direct descendants, the Barbet and Roclore families. The estate encompasses 9 hectares, predominantly within Fleurie's borders. Beneath the winery, a vaulted cellar houses an impressive array of oak vats, where the entire production matures to perfection.

The wine presents a deep ruby colour with enticing purple highlights. Its complex bouquet opens with pronounced notes of blackcurrant and blackberry, gradually unfolding to reveal hints of liquorice and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is characterized by silky tannins and remarkable length. This elegant Fleurie pairs wonderfully with a variety of dishes, including tajine, beef lasagna, and an assortment of cow's milk cheeses.
