Marchand-Tawse Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru 'Les Perrieres' 2013

This is a lovely expression, the red berry fruit is so engaging, really pretty on the palate but still concentrated with supple, structured tannins that have the pull to remind you this is very much a serious wine. Complexity continues to build with deeper, dryer notes developing in the foreground alongside some savoury, nutty, vanilla spice. The 10+ years in bottle have added a mature grace to the wine, delightful, drinking beautifully.
