Maxime Cheurlin-Noëllat Gevrey-Chambertin 'En Champs' 2017

Now this is a decadent glass of Burgundy. Richly textured with generous notes of black and red berry fruits sitting on a savoury, almost meaty palate. The oak is wonderfully integrated and the tannins, whilst soft, still have structure and presence. Everything is there for extended time in the cellar but the up front fruit means early drinking is a real pleasure too.
