A selection of brilliant wines from some premium regions and producers. Who is your winner?
BARON ALBERY L’UNIVERSELLE CHAMPAGNE BRUT NV, CHAMPAGNE, FRANCE. Light, bright and fresh with crisp green apple, pear and a squeeze of lemon citrus. A dry and moreish finish.
HUNTER’S MIRU MIRU NV, MARLBOROUGH, NEW ZEALAND. A sparkling from NZ made in the same style as Champagne using the Champagne grape varieties. On the nose peach, citrus and subtle toast. Mouth filling mousse with a full and persistent palate.
CANTINA TERLAN PINOT GRIGIO, ALTO ADIGE, ITALY. From one of our favourite producers, this Pinot Grigio has lychee, white melon and floral notes. Superbly full and at the same time mellow and well balanced.
MISS ZILM PINOT GRIS, CLARE VALLEY, AUSTRALIA. Floral, balanced stonefruit and honeydew melon. Dry with a streak of acidity and refined minerality. A serious Pinot Gris!
CHATEAU DU HUREAU SAUMUR CHAMPIGNY TUFFE, LOIRE VALLEY, FRANCE. 100% Cabernet Franc. Intense aromas of red fruits, pepper and an almost graphite minerality. Medium bodied with fresh acidity. Complex, earthy, spice and fruit flavours.
WATERKLOOF CIRCUMSTANCE CABERNET FRANC, STELLENBOSCH, SOUTH AFRICA. Classic Cabernet Franc on the nose with blackcurrant and wild plum with lightly herbal notes. Concentrated, full flavoured, the bright red fruit notes supported by fresh acidity and supple tannins.
One bottle of each wine will be included in the mixed case.
