Bordeaux-style blend from Aconcagua Valley in Chile. This hails from winemakers Viña von Siebenthal and is a fairly typical blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Petit Verdot, 15% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, this combined with extended barrel age you could be fooled for thinking you were by the Gironde not at the foothills of the Andes. Plenty of berry fruit, touches of blackcurrant and more savoury elements too with herbal hints of thyme and rosemary.
