Pyren Vineyard Earthscape Cabernet Franc

First planted in 1999, this vineyard is now passing the 25-year mark, producing high-quality fruit with great maturity. Focusing on sustainable and organic practices, the vineyard maintains a careful focus on soil health and biological diversity. Although uncertified organic, the producers prioritize preserving the land and try to always show the natural integrity of the grapes through their wines.

Produced from 100% Cabernet Franc, this wine is a blend of 50% whole berry and 50% whole bunch carbonic maceration, fermented with wild yeast. The wine is then aged in second and third-use 500L barrels for 6-8 months.

Producing aromas of raspberry and violet, the wine continues on the palate with notes of strawberry, white pepper, and cacao. A subtle tannin structure and a light toasted oak note linger in the background. It pairs well with roast lamb or an earthy mushroom risotto.
