Poggio Anima Samael Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

This is 100% Montepulciano, from a single vineyard in Chieti located less than half a mile from the Adriatic Sea. Ruby, black cherry, liquorice and plum jam on the nos. Big, ripe and expansive, showing an element of warmth to the very sweet dark berry liqueur flavors. Finishes smooth and sweet, with a repeating liquorice note. Energetic and a wine of pleasure.  There is plenty of power, flavour and weight.
