Founded in 1875 and currently owned by the Larrain family, Santa Carolina focuses on producing high quality, consistent wines year after year with a unique and distinctive character to each of the wines they produce.
Grown in the La Rinconda vineyards in the Cachapoal Valley the temperatures vary greatly from warm days to cool nights, which allows the grapes to ripen slowly, maintain their natural acidity, and develop complex flavours, the wine is then aged for eight months in French oak barrels before being bottled.
An intense and concentrated wine, bursting with ripe plum and black cherry fruit flavours, black pepper and hints of liquorice on the long complex finish. Pairs well with spiced curries and roasted Red meats.
