Schola Sarmenti Nerio Riserva

Schola Sarmenti was founded in 1999, from the passion and love that the Marra and Calabrese families still demonstrate for their territory by preserving an ancient vine propagating technique, "Apulian sapling" which is as difficult as it is precious, requiring skilled hands to give wines of great quality and value. In their vineyards they are constantly growing the youngest vines that give freshness and lightness as well as nurturing specimens of up to 80 years of history that bring depth and complexity. 

Nerio is a wine that comes from the marriage of Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera grapes, that are harvested by hand and carefully selected.

Tasting notes: Ruby red colour with light garnet rim. Intriguing nose with deep black fruit, herbs and sweet spice just hinted at. On the palate it coats the tongue with overripe fruit balanced by a lovingly herbaceous note and fine tannins. 

Excellent accompanied with game, roast red meat and savoury antipasti.
