After an initial ageing in American oak casks this whisky is then transferred to ex Amoroso sherry casks for a second maturation. These sherry casks give the whisky a sharp focused nose with a dried fruit sweetness. Crisp peat to the fore of the palate makes way for vanilla and a slightly oily sweetness.
