Le Arche is a relatively new company, based in the Veneto region of north-east Italy, who have invested heavily in the top oenological staff available. This ensures that whilst traditional methods are respected, they are constantly updated with modern technology. This results in wines with old world complexity but added depth and richness of mid-palate fruit.
The Valpolicella Ripasso is made up of the classic three varietals. The grapes are macerated for around 10 days for good fruit and colour extraction, then follows a secondary fermentation on the skins of Amarone. This is the traditional technique called "Ripasso" and gives more body and character to a regular Valpolicella.
