Joseph Drouhin Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Mouches Rouge 2016

Drouhin's 2016 Clos de Mouches Rouge is a brooding, black fruited glass of old school Burgundy. Packed with sweet mediteranean herbs, loads of dark cherry and layers of smokey, coffee notes. Medium weight with sweet red berries on the robust tannins that add real structure and substance to the wine alongside a fantastic bright acidity. This has opened up beautifully over the last few years or so, open, decant and enjoy.
