Joseph Perrier Cuvee Josephine Gift Box-2014

Cuvee Josephine is Joseph Perrier's prestige cuvee. It contains only the first and greatest wines within its assemblage. The dominant variety is Chardonnay widely thought to be the finest of the three permitted. A nose with immediate charm, first there are floral notes which are pure and captivating, then hints of ripe fruits: even touches of pineapple, yellow peach and apricot, over suggestions of butter and toasted brioche, already suggesting a truly superb wine. With plenty of attack and yet with generosity and richness of the palate, here the fruit notes of apricot, pineapple are rich and ripe, underpinned by floral characters and a touch of vanilla and spice. With a long elegant and powerful finish, this is really tremendous champagne.
