Some impressive presence and depth to this second wine of Chateau Batailley. It offers ample oak spices and earthy notes amid aromas of raspberries and red cherry compote. The palate is energetic and nicely arranged with smooth tannins that cast a gently grainy texture through the finish. 60% cabernet sauvignon, 33% merlot, 6% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot.
